My name is Judit Kovács. I am the founder and owner of the Színesgyöngy (Colour Pearl) kennel. My love of dogs began as a child, when we moved into our own house with a garden and my parents bought Bumi, our first dog. He was a Kuvas without pedigree. Then we found out he was not a 'real Kuvas' but a mixed-breed dog, but that did not diminish my love for him. First I began to teach him myself and later we went to a dog school. Bumika (little Bumi) stayed with us for 16 years.
Currently I live in Budapest with three Mudis. I graduated as a stock-breeding engineer from the Charles Robert College, Gyöngyös, Hungary, where I wrote my thesis on the Mudi's behaviour. I fell in love with this breed three years ago when I bought my first Mudi dog from the Gondűző alkonyat (Diverting Dusk) kennel.
Varázs (Magic) (Gondűző alkonyat - Virsli Császár (Sausage and Ceasar)) came to us in 2005 and turned my family's and my own life upside down.
My love for the breed began with Varázs and it is through him that I have gained an insight into the 'world of Mudis' as well.
As Varázska (little Varázs) grew I knew I wanted a girl for him. I have chosen the Sacaházi kennel, from where we received Csicsike, who was our kennel's founding bitch. From the first litter I have kept Angy (Színesgyöngy Angyalka (Little Angel)), a very nice little dog with steady nerves who lives up to all expectations.
In breeding I lay emphasis on good health, stable nerves, an appearance typical of the breed, and herding instinct. Not in order of importance, of course. In mating, these traits should possibly exist at the same time.
For me it is critical that dogs born in my kennel get to suitable and caring owners. Not everybody is properly prepared to deal with a little Mudi. I want to make sure that no dog from my kennel ends up in a dog shelter or in even worse circumstances.
Dogs bred in my kennel are pedigreed, micro-chipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and pre-socialised before meeting their happy future owners.
Thank you for visiting our website and enjoy browsing for Mudis.
Köszönöm, hogy ellátogatott a honlapra jó böngészést és mudizást kívánok!
